We take the safety of your personal data seriously.

When you create an account on the ACCELERATION program platform, we will ask you for information about you, but we’ve designed a system and data handling process that ensures your information is kept safe and confidential. Read more about the ACCELERATION platform’s privacy policy, which outlines exactly how and why personal information is collected and managed (available soon).

In summary — When you create an account on the ACCELERATION platform, you will be asked for some personal and contact information. This will let our staff review your profile to determine your eligibility for the program. You will also be asked to create a username and password which will let you log in to your account on the ACCELERATION platform.

You will then complete a series of health-related questionnaires. If you are eligible and agree to participate in the program, you will also be asked to track your health goals progress on the ACCELERATION platform.

Access to your health information will be limited to the ACCELERATION program staff. They will only be able to view your information through verified and secure access. You will also be assigned a unique study ID number. This means that when your information is extracted from the system and used in our research database, your name and any personal identifying information will be anonymized. Your name and personal contact details will never be made public and they will never be used to identify you in any program report.

What follows is this website’s privacy policy. This policy governs this website only and not the ACCELERATION platform.

How we manage personal information

Comments and Messages

When visitors send messages from this website or leave comments on this website, our server collects the data entered on the form used to send comments or messages. The visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string are also collected to help with spam detection.

Embedded content from other websites

This website may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) sourced from other websites. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited these other websites.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How we use Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to store and process site traffic information so we can know the number of visitors on the site and what posts and pages are the most popular.  We’ve chosen to anonymize all IP addresses before sending them to Google, and we do not collect tracking data on any form submissions (like our contact form).  Neither we nor Google cannot personally identify you or your browsing habits using this information.

How long we retain your data

If you send us a message through this website’s contact form, the message and its metadata are retained on our server until we have processed your message after which time the information will be deleted.
